Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Freshman are introduced to the various CTE programs via Harbor Class. As sophomores, all students enroll in one of eight career and technical education (CTE) programs of study, leading to industry certification in marine science or technology and includes a continuum of work-based learning experiences that extend student learning from the school classroom into a real-world, work-related context.

All eight NYHS CTE's are NYSED-Approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Students who complete their CTE program and pass the 3-part assessment associated with their program will be eligible to receive the technical endorsement on their diploma.
