Today I drove my father to drop off ballots for him and my mom, both seniors, and life long Democrats (though dad is a registered Republican, he changed his party a while back in order to help vote out a terrible Republican in a past semi-closed primary...AZ politics often borders on tragic/comical-remember Sheriff Joe-but I digress). Neither he nor my mom was willing to trust the mail this time . . . they know their vote counts in Arizona. Back in the day, it was hard to be a democrat in Arizona. I remember in grade school being one of the few (if the not only) Democrat in my classroom. Back then, social studies classes would hold mock elections and I very much remember being mocked for my vote (pretty obvious when you are the only Dem). My liberal leanings come from my parents, and like them, I am thrilled at the possibility of my home state GOING BLUE and voting for #bidenharris2020. Not a done deal, but crossing my fingers that change is possible in a state that hasn’t voted for a Democrat for President since 1996 (Clinton) and before that, 1948 (Truman). Here's hoping. And by the way, @MarthaMcSally, stop calling seniors, they aren't buying your nonsense.
