UA-NYHS class of 2018 will graduate on Friday, June 22nd, 2018. exact time is TBD.

SENIOR TRIP

Friday, Jan 26th-Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018

Villa Roma

Callicoon, NY

This year’s senior trip is an all-inclusive overnight trip to Villa Roma, located in Callicoon, NY. Students will have access to all of the site’s indoor and outdoor facilities. The Indoor Sport complex has a pool, bocce, shuffleboard, bowling and ping-pong. Outside activities include unlimited use of snow tubing, ski and snowboard lift tickets, and ice skating. Please note: Ski, snowboard, and ice skating rentals are available at an additional cost. The cost of $280 is based on 4 people in a room. Transportation, three meals, DJ dance party, and all taxes and gratuities are included.  For more information visit their website at www.villaroma.com.

SENIOR DUES

All graduating seniors are required to submit “Senior Dues” in the amount of $205. This cost includes the following items: Cap & Gown, Tassel, Stole, Diploma Case, Senior T-Shirt, and Yearbook.  Senior Dues must be paid in full before a student can purchase their ticket for the prom or SeniorNite.

SENIOR PROM

Battery Gardens

This year's prom will be held at the beautiful Battery Gardens, located in Battery Park City, overlooking the Manhattan skyline. The cost per ticket is $150. Tickets for guests are also available for purchase. Guests who do not attend the New York Harbor School are required to submit a copy of their photo ID two weeks prior to the prom.

Six Flags Great Adventure

Jackson, NJ

It’s going to be a fun night! Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey is open exclusively for High School Senior students until 1am! The cost of $50 includes transportation, theme park admission, and a DJ dance party. The New York Harbor School will provide chaperones and uniformed and undercover security offices will be present at the event.

PAYMENTS

Students may bring payments directly to Ronni Ettinger, our Parent Coordinator, during their lunch periods. We accept cash, money order, or a check made payable to the New York Harbor School. Please be advised that there will be no refunds within 30 days before each scheduled event. The only exception to this will be a medical emergency in which a note must be provided.

GUIDELINES

Senior activities are a privilege and we support all students’ participation. In order to participate in any senior activity, students must meet the following guidelines.

 

Behavior Requirements for Senior Activities

Students are held to the highest level of behavioral standards throughout the year, and during activities. Students who have received a suspension will need permission from our Administration to participate.

 

Academic Requirements for Senior Activities

  • Senior activities are available to all students who are academically considered a senior, and who are on track to graduate.
  •  
  • Students who are not up to date on their credits need to be enrolled in all classes required for graduation at the time of the events. Students may not be failing 2 or more classes they are currently enrolled in.
  •  
  • Students must have passed all classes for the first semester.
  •  
  • Any student who does not meet the requirements above must seek approval from Administration to participate.
