Whether working as a  structural steel fabricator, ironworker/welder,  in shipbuilding or manufacturing, these careers are well paying and offer plenty of room for advancement. Description

This program prepares students to work as welders and fabricators. The industries that employ welder/fabricators are numerous. Please click here to explore welding careers.  

The Welding & Fabrication program’s curriculum is based on the American Welding Society’s Fundamentals of Welding platform AWS Fundamentals of Welding Curriculum Package Overview. Subjects such as welding safety,

4 arc welding processes, 3 thermal cutting processes, reading welding symbols, weld inspection and others are covered in the course. These courses are directly aligned with the written and practical exams taken during the 12th grade.

 

Students also have the opportunity to attend several industry-based field trips over the course of the three years of the program. Internships are available to candidates that qualify.
